route 1 - KORANA "TURIST"
Description of your rafting experience:
Meeting point is in Veljun, a village 20 km from Karlovac in direction to the National park Plitvice. Veljun is only 2 hours drive from Opatija. You will raft along the uninhabited part of the river that is category III when the water level is high and category II when it is low. The fact that you pass through an uninhabited area gives you the perfect opportunity to enjoy the untouched parts of nature. The rafting ends at the “Stari mlin na Korani” ranch. The route is 15 km long, you pass over 10 plaster stone barriers up to 2 meters in height, and the trip lasts from 2 -3 hours and if the water level is low up to 5 hours. Transfer during the trip and a skipper in every boat are included in the price. Special gift for the group is a CD with photos as a souvenir of the trip.

route 2 - KORANA "HARD"
Description of your rafting experience:
Meeting point is in Veljun, a village 20 km from Karlovac in direction to the National park Plitvice. Veljun is only 2 hours drive from Opatija. For this route it will be necessary to carry the raft for about 200 meters to the river which means that you’re really in the wilderness. When the water level is high, the river is IV category which presents a special adrenalin delight. To pass this route you need to be physically fit and very daring as you’re passing through otherwise untouched nature. You will cross over 30 plaster stone barriers, some of which are very difficult and demand high level of concentration. This route is recommended to younger and physically fit persons. It is about 15 km long and it can be finished in 2-3 hours. Transfer during the trip, a skipper in every boat and insurance are included in the price. Special gift for the group is a CD with photos as a souvenir of the trip.

Meeting point is in Barilici, a village some 20km from Karlovac in the direction of the National park Plitvicka jezera. Barilici are only a bit more than two hours away from Opatija. The safari route is about 20 km long and you will be passing through partially inhabited area. On the way you will discover dozens of plaster stone barriers and artificially made waterfalls. Start is just underneath the village «Stari mlin na Korani». During the descend you will pas by several collapsed water mills whose remains testify to the symbiosis of man and the nature. Water-mills built on the stunning waterfalls

water-mills, over three hundred years old, testify to the symbiosis
between man and nature. The river Korana is a paradise for swimmers in
summer. The water temperature is unbelievable 28°C. The river Korana,
thanks to its diverse flow, is ideal for various water sports:
swimming, diving, rowing, in its smooth part of the flow, and below
Rastoke where the river is wild and fast, for rafting and canoeing.
