Roman aqueduct of Novalja

One of the most interesting sites of Novalja is an antique underground aqueduct, built in 1st century before Christ, during the Roman Empire period.

“The triangle of Pag”

In the year 1999, unusual phenomena has been found in the area of Novalja – a huge triangle mark on the stone surface. Its measures are 32x32x22 metres. Scientists, journalists, tourists  and many other interested people pay close attention to this rare appearance, especially because it still has not been explained. Further more, there is a theory among domestic people presuming it is an UFO mark, which has increased the popularity of phenomena.
During the summer, there are many excursions with professional guidance and unique exhibit about triangle. In addition, opening of the UFO centre is planned in the near future.

Amphora finding sites

All scuba diving fans must visit plentiful Roman amphora finding site, right on the place where an old merchant ship sank in 1st century before Christ. The finding site has been marked and protected by an iron cage.
