Rafting is a recreational activity utilizing a raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is usually done on whitewater or different degrees of rough water. For rafting it is necessary to have a group of 6-10 people and at least one experienced guide (skipper) who knows how to handle the white water rafting.

You also need a raft boat and the appropriate equipment.
It is possible to raft when the water level is high, when the river exceeds the average of 22 m³ per second. When the water level is lower, it is the perfect time for canoe safari, i.e. calm water rafting. Check Kupa’s water level.
After each greater rainstorm the river exceeds 22 m³ per second. When that happens, and if you prefer white water rafting rather than canoeing, it is the right time to visit Severin na Kupi. In order to raft in Kupa Sports’ arrangement it is necessary to have 6 up to 20 people.

Canoeing is a recreational activity of paddaling a canoe on calm and white water rivers. It refers to using a single- or sometimes double-bladed paddle to propel a canoe with only human muscle power, kneeling or sitting on seat. Canoes are usually open boats, mainly constructed from various forms of plastic, multi-layered to give it buoyancy.

The most traditional and early canoes did not have seats so the paddlers had to kneel on the bottom of the boat. Nowdays, recreational caneos have seats, usually for two or three people and it is ideal for families to spend time on the river enjoying the nature, and loved by fishermen for its ability to silently glide on surface of the river.

Canoes are usually used when the water is calm and the level is usually low, and white river canoeing is possible in inflatable canoes.

Kayaking is a recreational sport in which participants use specialized boats called kayaks in a wide variety of waterways. It typically has a covered deck and a cockpit which is then covered by a spray deck to keep the paddler dry and it is paddled with a double-bladed paddle.

The kayak was originally developed by native Aleut and Inuit hunters in sub-arctic regions of North America and Greenland. One of the most common types of kayaking is recreational kayaking in rivers and lakes, using wide, highly stable kayaks. Because the water is usually relatively calm, people do not need much experience to enjoy this type of kayaking, and lively lower level white water rivers offer enough excitement. You can also enjoy sea kayaking.

Canyoning is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include walking, hiking, climbing, jumping, leaping, rapelling, sliding down a usually wet canyon. Most canyons are cut into limestone, sandstone, granite or basalt. There is usually a difference technical and nontechnical canyoning.

Technical canyoning requires specialized equipment and techniques to complete the climb safely. The trick to jumping into rock pools is to hit the water feet first as straight as possible. Keep your hands away from your face and keep your bum clenched as tight as possible. Do that and you'll have smooth landing into the water. Canyoning can be dangerous, which is undoubtedly part of the thrill for many who participate in the sport.
